Dilutions
reflection/summary: to make dilutions you dont only have to mix water and solutions you have to make calculations and measurements. dilutions are volumes that nee to be measured. when calculating dilutions you its better if you use the process of dilution you use a formula which is V1C1 = V2C2, in this formula V1 means volume of starting solution, C1 is concentration of starting solution, V2 is final volume of the solution, and C2 is final concentration of new solution. doing dilutions lab you have to know the exact concentration from PH and volume

PROTOCOL: first we got 4 graduated cylinders we then masured the same amount of water and poured it in them. then we measure koolaid on the scale labeled the 4 cylinders A,B,C,D then we pured the koolaid into the graduated cylinder labeled A WITH THE PIPPET WE TOOK OUR 5ML of the souliton and put it in the graduated cylinder labeled B and then made a ratio of 1/5 and then poured 20 ML of water in cylinder labeled B AFTER WE GOT 5 ml of solution from cylinder B and poured it into cylinder labeld C and again poured 20 ML of water into Cylinder D and recorded our observations. and took pictures.
from the data we collected we noticed severl things the more water the solution has the lighter the consetration gets every cylinder had a diffrent color and more water even thi we out the same of water we didint get the same measurements for every cyilnder when we tasted the koolaid the solution from cylinder B had the best taste because it had the same amount of water and koolaid.
things used:
4 graduated cylinders (25 ml)
- 12.8 grams of kool-aid
-100 ml of water
-1 spoon
-pipets
